National Youth Conference 2011
 
 
The Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) is a Civil Society Organization aimed at "facilitating and promoting social transformation through civic engagement of the concerned citizens for a democratic society". It envisions a responsible citizenry and proactive civil society.

 National Youth Conference 2011

 
Goal: Empower Youth so that they have the potential to cope with national and global crises by inspiring them with practical solutions and precautionary measures, as well as connecting them with global movements.
 
About the Conference
 
The National Youth Conference is a collective forum for VNG members, Civil Society Organizations and other stakeholders to provide the opportunities to youth to have interaction and dialogue with youth organizations, policymakers, public and private institutes, intellectuals, writers, journalists, and elected representatives. The conference will help in sensitizing youth about their increasing role in public affairs. About 1,000 youth delegates and relevant stakeholders are expected to participate in the event.
 
Objectives
 
1. Inspiring participants through the sharing of information and interactions with various sections of the society.
2. Provide an opportunity for youth to analyse their roles in facing the new challenges. 
3. Clarifying inter-provincial issues through constructive dialogue and debate.
 
Who can join the Conference?

The youth of Pakistan aged 18-30 who desire to bring positive social change in their area and want to contribute in the youth movements are encouraged to attend. Entrance to all events is free of cost to enable broad participation by young people and the community on a large scale.

Mamtaz Mirza Auditorium, Sindh Museum Hyderabad from 23 to 25 September 2011.
 
The Fee
 
The NYC 2011 fees is Rs. 300 which will cover the cost of material and caps/ t shirts
Performances
 
A talent show is planned on the second day of the conference where talented youth from across Pakistan will perform before the audience and a panel of judges who will be there to assess their performances and acknowledge their efforts through the provision of certificates. 
 
A film and theatre festival is also planned on the second day. Film shows will be organized by Lahore Film and Literary Group with awards distributed among the winners.
 
Scholarship
 
A limited number of scholarships are available for youth who qualify as Youth Provincial Delegates. The sponsorship will include cost of transport (lower AC Train/ Bus only) accommodation and food in Hyderabad.   
 
Conference Schedule
 
Day 1 – The first day is inauguration day in which the experience and progress of CSSP will be shared with the participants. The conference objectives and schedule of events will also be available for the participants. A high rank official / elected representative will be invited to inaugurate the conference. After lunch break, the magazine will be distributed among participants. Youth representatives from different parts of Pakistan will share their situation with the participants. The scholars and writers will join the session and share their views on social and economical issues and challenges.
 
Day 2 The second day is planned for the Film and Theatre festival in the morning and the talent show is planned for the evening. The talent show will be continued till late night.
 
Day 3: A peace rally is planned for the morning of the third day. Youth leaders will have a press conference in Hyderabad Press Club. The closing session is scheduled after lunch in which awards and certificates will be distributed among participants.
