Dear urvashi, I find it difficult to imagine a world without the mystery of forests. So, when I read that the coal ministry wanted to mine coal in many our last remaining forests, I was shocked. I might not be an expert but I know that to save our tigers and other wildlife, we have to first protect our forests. Greenpeace India, has been working to help save our forests. They have already delivered 34,000 petition signatures to Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who now wants to meet them. This is just the first step. There is much more that needs to be done to keep our forests safe. Your contribution will help save the forests. Greenpeace India does not take money from the government or business corporations. All the financial support comes from individuals like you. You should make a contribution to help save India’s forests. http://www.greenpeace.in/donate/donate_to_greenpeace_india.php Greenpeace India has recorded several victories like the moratorium on Bt brinjal last year and getting the government to change the dangerous nuclear liability bill. All these were a result of years of campaigning funded by individuals like you. Every contribution now will go a long way in sustaining the fight to save our forests. Forests are irreplaceable and home to endangered wildlife, like tigers and elephants. I don’t understand the need to destroy forests when we can use solar energy and other renewable power sources. Our future generations deserve better than barren, ugly coal mines. Greenpeace is fighting to keep our planet and forests safe. Support them by making a contribution now. http://www.greenpeace.in/donate/donate_to_greenpeace_india.php Thanks a billion!
