Road to National eHealth strategy for Pakistan

Greetings from the eHealth Association Pakistan (eHAP)!

eHAP now proudly announces its Third International eHealth Conference 2012 (TIeHC 2012) – Road to National eHealth strategy for Pakistan, to be held on January 21-22, 2012 at Lahore.

The aim of the conference is to Identify and prioritize areas of eHealth development in Pakistan that could lead to the formation of a National eHealth Strategy for Pakistan.

The efforts for development of a National eHealth strategy come at an important time when Pakistan is developing its new Health Policy. The Conference will build understanding on the importance of eHealth strategy, and suggest a roadmap to achieve this endeavor by sharing the knowledge and experience of eHealth experts and researchers.

This year the Conference is inviting two categories of papers

1) Scientific papers 2) Commission papers

Both types of papers will contribute to the draft of eHealth strategy for Pakistan, intended to be the outcome of eHAP Conference 2012.

Scientific Papers are called on following subthemes

1. Benefits of eHealth for developing world

2. Scalable eHealth Applications & Technologies

3. Planning & Managing eHealth in a Developing Country

4. Health Information and its Management through ICTs

5. eHealth in Health Systems Improvement

6. Importance of Policy and strategy for eHealth

Deadline for the electronic submission of abstracts is 15^th November, 2011

Commission Papers are invited on the following topics;

1. Environmental scan of eHealth policies and what is applicable to Pakistan

2. Scale of services and proposed scope for Telehealth in Pakistan

3. Scale of services and proposed scope for Health Informatics in Pakistan

4. Adoption, Implementation and intended outcomes of eHealth in terms of Health systems strengthening for Pakistan.

5. Linking eHealth strategy to Health, IT and Telecommunication strategies.

Deadline for the Letter of Intent for Commissioned papers is 10^th October, 2011
