Respected Agniveerji,

Namasthe !
You are doing a wonderful job by which you would accrue blessings of THE ALMIGHTY that you have brought into the world of KNOWLEDGE / LIGHT, those who were condemned permanently in the world of ignorance by conversion of their forefathers (for fear of their lives or money or whatever reason).  Sanatana Dharma ONLY allows a person to live an ideal life of a man on the footsteps of Lord Shri Rama and become Lord Shri Krishna, realising the PARAMATMA within one's SELF AND ALL AROUND.
It was many times discussed in these forums that the varna is not finally (ultimately) decided by birth, but by SAMSKAARAAS and VAASANAS one acquires and brings from previous lives.  If varna was to be decided by birth, Vyaasa Bhagavan who was born to a woman from the fisherman community would never have beenrevered as a JAGAT GURU and gave us all the major Scriptures of Sanatana Dharma including Mahabharatha and Srimad Bhagavatham.
Likewise, Ratnakaran, the hunter would never have become Vaalmeeki to give us Ramayana. Today Ramayana teaches us to live a life following the ideals of Lord Rama and realise the secrets of the "Leelas' of Lord Krishna and become Paramatma-realised individual by oneself that too in one life time.Mahabharatha and Bhagavat Geeta and also Srimad Bhagavatham give us the true meanings of vedas in simple language through thousands of stories.
AND WHO IS A BRAHMANA ? ONE WHO REALISED BRAHMAM / BRAHMAN.  A Vedic Scholar need not be a Brahmana, but a SELF-REALISED individual will be universal person, as described in the Bhakthi Yoga of B.Gita, like Ramana Maharishi, who will not restrict VEDIC KNOWLEDGE TO ANYONE IN THIS WORLD. What is vedic knowledge ?  It is the knowledge of THE ENERGY / CHAITHANYA that is unborn, awake and deathless that exists within one's own SELF, going through the evolutionary life cycles changing physical bodies and shapes until its tiny consciousness aligns with the universal consciousness.
By the way, paapa is iron chain and punya is golden chain, which bind you to the life cycles eternally. When you realise the Chaithanya that is awake within yourself and regulate all your physical systems to keep you alive (waiting for you to reconnect your ego-filled "I" with that "AHAM") even when you are in deep sleep (when your body and mind dont work), and see that same Chaithanya all around you including the air that you breathe as "Praanavaayu" and the "rasa" of water that you drink (as explained in VISHWAROOPA DARSHANAM in B. Gita), then only you are free from both these chains.
With best wishes and prayers,
VM

Hindus should spend less funds attending Bollywood/Hollywood programs, host elaborate birthday and wedding celebrations, take long vacations and donate that money to Pracharacks who are working to bring back our Hindus brother/sisters who were forced to embrace Islam by the sword. Many former Hindus are being allured to Christianity by promise of wealth and equality. However, its all false promises since most Christian missionaries in India still practice "caste" discrimination and these former Hindus are still poor..Why convert to Christianity if your status remain the same?

Many Hindu organizations from the Caribbean Hindu community are also competing to celebrate Hindu festivals and propagating Hindu dharma. Each is trying to out do the other. However, they need to work to prevent Hindus from converting to Christianity. Also, they need to provide funds to Pracharacks who are working to re-convert former Hindus.

We should not worry too much on what path a Hindu prays to God. We should be grateful that after 170 years living in the Caribbean Hindus still pray to God.

Thanks Sadhuji,

We got 3500 back to religion of ancestors in December. In January, we got 100 people from Bengal into Hindu Dharma, right under the eyes of CPM and Trinamool. From, Feb 21 to feb 27 we are having Anti-Casteism Day which starts with vocal rejection of caste and gender discrimination and ends with 200 people coming back to vedic Dharma, and making 50 Brahmins from a Harijan basti we brought back from Christianity in December 2011.

Then from March onwards, we plan to have 1000 new recruits into Hindu Dharma every month of 2012. If we sustain this for 2 years, and put some infrastructure in place, this will sustain a chain reaction that would change the demographics in next 15 years permanently. One can do calculations to understand why and how.

May we have support of people like you during this.
Dhanyavad

Dear Agniveer,

Without hesitation i must say that you are doing a commendable work which no other individual has undertaken so far or if undertaken, we are not aware of it. Let us accept the fact that it is only the people who have divided the Hindu Community in Castes & made it weak and it is we people only who have to work for its redemption. So, please go ahead and pursue the excellent work taken on hand. God Bless !

PLEASE HELP PEOPLE LIKE ME

Next Sunday 26 Feb 2012, we are undertaking an event where around 200 men and women, primarily Muslims and Christians, would embrace Vedic Dharma. They also include many so-called Harijans who would from a birth perspective be categorized as Shudras, Chandals, Antyaj or Mlecchas etc.

Now these people would reject the caste system, chant Vedic Mantras and promise to keep studying Vedas for their lives. Many from them would be trained in conducting Vedic rituals so that they can bring more people to Vedic Hindu fold. Many would become priests of local temples. Of course, they would follow the diet and conduct befitting a Brahmin.

We have been doing such programs regularly now and have brought several thousands to Vedic Hindu Dharma this way within last few months.

Now my question is that am I doing a Paapa (sin) by conducting such activities and encouraging men and women born to so-called Shudras/Chandals/Antyaj/ Mlecchas etc to chant/recite/study/discuss Vedas?

Or is it a great Punya or noble deed?

I used to consider it a great Punya, but views of revered scholars like Dr Ranjeet Singh ji and Dr Raj Panditji seem to indicate that I have been doing a Mahapaapa by bringing Vedas to those who were debarred from Vedas by birth.

As per them, regardless of one's good deeds, one cannot become a Brahmin. Jaati/ caste/ Varna is by birth alone.

I may have misinterpreted them given my humble mind and being not sure of being born directly from God's mouth.

So I request these revered scholars to guide me what I should be doing. Should I stop these activities of making Vedic scholars from so-called low-castes as a Mahapaapa or continue even more enthusiastically as a Mahapunya.

Please help me.

Humbly yours
Agni

I am sure that scholars like Dr Ranjeet Singh ji and Dr Raj Panditji will indeed bless millions of humble minds like me with a simple yes/ no or an equally unambiguous answer that can be understood and explained even to a 5 year old kid.

After all for someone who has been instrumental in making thousands of ex-Muslims, so-called Dalits and women study/discuss and recite Vedas, I believe I need to know whether I have doing a Mahapaap or a Mahapunya?

I repeat the questions for our revered scholars:

Is it true that:
1. Those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (or mother) cannot study/ discuss/ recite Vedas?
2. And for those who do so, there should be punishment, either human or divine?
3. Are women prohibited from studying/ reciting/ discussing Vedic mantras?

Humbly yours

Dr. Ranjeet Singh has been most vocal in asking everyone for proofs.  I wonder if he will respond to this email from Agniveerji.  Even if he does, I don't think it will be a simple answer of yes or no.

Don't expect any direct answers (they will avoid with irrelevant information) from these folks in this lifetime. Maybe some other janam.

Can those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (and/or mother) be eligible to study/ discuss/ recite Vedas?

Namaste

Layman like me are extremely fortunate to have access to so many scholars in these forums. Often we find them debating on theological topics like mode of worship, God being formless or with form, goal of life etc. And many scholars quote opulently from scriptures to justify their stands.

Often humble minds of layman like me fail to understand these scholarly mails because we are not scholars. Now every one cannot become a scholar but everyone can definitely become a Dharmic person. So layman like me would like to know summary Dharmic stand on critical issues.

We came across extremely scholarly mails of revered holy scholars like Dr Ranjeet Singhji and Dr Raj Panditji during some of these theological debates. Now our humble minds cannot comprehend the depth of knowledge of such mighty scholars from such profound mails. But from what we could understand, they were of opinion that those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (or mother) cannot study/ discuss/ recite Vedas. And for those who do so, there should be punishment, either human or divine. Also women are prohibited from studying/ reciting/ discussing Vedic mantras.

But as we are layman, we could have misunderstood the scholarly works of these experts due to limitations of our own humble minds.

Thus we request scholars like Dr Ranjeet Singh ji, Dr Raj Panditji and others who understand and appreciate their views to tell us in plain, simple, brief language whether those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (and/or mother) are eligible to study/ discuss/ recite Vedas?

We just require a brief clear answer, ideally a Yes/ No. Supporting references may be attached for scholars. But for millions of layman like me, an answer that is understood by a 5 year old kid would only be relevant. Specially people like me who are working in anti-casteism and women rights activities and thereby encouraging not only Hindus of all castes but even women to study Vedas and reject caste-system, a simple reply would be very essential.

A silence in this regard would only imply that whatever people like me have interpreted from their scholarly mails is actually right and that they indeed believe that those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (or mother) cannot study/ discuss/ recite Vedas. And for those who do so, there should be punishment, either human or divine. Also women are prohibited from studying/ reciting/ discussing Vedic mantras.

We keenly await a brief, simple, straight answer to our doubt from these revered scholars:
Can those born to Shudra/ Chandal father (and/or mother) be eligible to study/ discuss/ recite Vedas?
Can a woman be eligible to study/ discuss/ recite Vedas?
And for those who do so, there should be punishment, either human or divine?

Many Dhanyavad

Yours humbly
Agni
