Fukushima survivor

Hi Urvashi,

Our government wants to gag those who speak of nuclear risk.

Ms Maya Kobayashi, a survivor from Fukushima, Japan, was set to visit India. She was coming here on the first anniversary of the nuclear accident in Fukushima, to share her experience with us. She was granted a Visa, which was revoked last minute.[1]

Our government is bowing to pressure from the nuclear industry and is trying to hide the risks of nuclear reactors from us. They want to dilute the Nuclear Liability Act at the cost of our safety. [2] We need to protect this Act.

First, listen to this message from Ms Maya Kobayashi and then sign the petition asking the leaders of the opposition parties to stop the dilution the Nuclear Liability Act.

We need to tell our leaders that our safety comes before the interests of the foreign corporations. This can be done by showing the opposition leaders that people want a strong Nuclear Liability Act.

If the government succeeds in diluting the Act, Indian taxpayers will be responsible for mistakes made by foreign nuclear companies. That’s not right.

Make sure that doesn’t happen. Sign the petition right now.

Thanks a billion!
