Duration of the workshop: 2.5 hours

Cost of the workshop: Rs 3,500 per child (non-refundable)

Age Group: 4-6 years and 7-9 years (two batches)

Time: 10:00-12:30 pm (4-6yrs) and 4:00-6:30pm (7-9yrs)

Activities: 4-6 yrs: * gold-dusted good luck tree with old magazine

* tissue-paper wall-hanging

* flower pot painting

* candle-making (please note that the wax will be melted for children under adult supervision)

* bead making (bracelet and necklace)

* set of five greeting cards using different paper techniques, and much more.


7-9 yrs: * Giant flowers in tissue

* Papier mache introduction

* paper jewellery (set of earrings, necklace and bracelet)

* glitzy gift bag in felt

* gold-dusted good luck tree from recycled magazine with birds and butterflies

* recycled magazine flowers

Please note: All the raw material, tools and other objects for the workshop will be provided by Sophie Creations. Students, however, could be asked to bring old newspapers and magazines for certain craft-related projects.
To ensure that we start on time, Sophie Creations requests parents to send the kids 10 minutes before the session starts.
We will be unable to accommodate parents of guardians while the workshop sessions are on.

Having worked as a journalist for more than a decade with leading national and financial dailies, The Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Business Standard and Mint, Abhilasha Ojha has turned her attention to her first love, crafting with children.

"Children's energy is infectious. They have vivid imagination and I end up learning so much from them at these workshops," says Abhilasha who has done similar workshops with children in the past.

Besides hosting creative workshops for children, Abhilasha is also a freelance writer.
