A Defamation Suit of Rs.75 (Seventy Five) Crores against me is filed by Sanjay Kumar Jhunjhunwala before the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court. Since, constant threats to my life and liberties, I am not in a position to contest the Suit in Kolkata, as such I have filed a Transfer Petition before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, and on 2^nd July, 2012, the Hon’ble Supreme Court was pleased to pass the following Order:-

                Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner is only concerned with transfer of Suit No. 250 of 2011 pending in the High Court of Calcutta. Counsel also states that the earlier suit viz. Civil Suit No. 244 of 1990 has already been dismissed as withdrawn. The above statement is hereby recorded.

                Issue notice.

                In the meanwhile, there shall be stay of further proceeding being Suit No. 250 of 2011 titled as Sanjay Jhunjhunwala Vs. Milap Choraria & Ors. pending in the High Court of Calcutta.
