Thanks and Best wishes for The Year 2013 - Please do not miss this opportunity to double your donations before 31st Dec.

We wish you HAPPY HOLIDAYS and best wishes for a very peaceful and successful year in 2013 and hope all your aspirations come true alongwith best wishes from our children in Snehalaya.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and help with this final message for 2012. We simply could not have come so far without you being with us. Please consider helping the children, most being disabled and or sick, in Snehalaya and educationg the girls from surrounding villages on this occasion also giving them an opportunity for new life.

Trustees and a group of generous donors have pledged to match every Pound or dollar or Rupee or any currency in fact given between now and Dec. 31, please do not miss this opportunity to double your donations, here is the secure link http://helpchildrenofindia.org

US tax payers for donations with tax benefits in US dollars (there is added advantage of this being matched by GlobalGiving also if you make it as recurring donation during this month), please donate through either of these two links: SNEHALAYA  or  schoolforgirlsfromvillages

Donations in Indian Rupees with tax benefits for tax payers in India should be made to GwaliorHospital&EducationCharitableTrust

Thanks to your generosity we are pleased to say that our new main stream school started last year only, is progressing well with 170 children (95 being drop out girls) from surrounding villages getting educated there now. In coming session, more will be admitted and we are sure soon it will attain its target to educate 500 drop out girls as planned. We continue with ongoing care for the children in Snehalaya as well to achieve sustainable development in slums and surrounding villages including health care, education, hygiene, sanitation, vaccination, safe drinking water, income generation etc.

But we need your support to do so!!! What makes us different to most charitable organisations?

Although we operate in one of the poorest and most needy parts of India, the Gwalior Childrens Charity receives no government support. Not from local authorities. Not from regional or state sources. Not from central government. So we are forced to rely on the generosity of people around the world, like you. Any contribution, however small, is very much appreciated. All running administrative costs are met through the kindness of our trustees. Nothing is deducted for administration costs (unlike most welfare organisations) and where requested, we are able to focus 100% of funds received as per the wishes of the donor. Also we have hundreads of volunteers, who give their time and expertise without any costs to charity, so your money goes a longer way to provide for the work only.

Sometimes, when we look at the need, the prospect seems daunting. But we carry on, remembering the simple adage that "because you can't do everything, it doesn't mean you should do nothing". We depend upon you and our volunteers only. Please pass on our message to every one you know (we can't afford costly advertisements and have come so far only by word of mouth as mode for our publicity) and do not hesitate to call me or write to me for any questions or further details any time. Thanks again. With regards and best wishes for a happy, succesful and prosperous New Year,
BK

For any reasons, if you do not want to pay on line, you can still send a cheque to our below given address, made to "Gwalior Childrens Charity". If date of  issue of the cheque is before 31st Dec. 2012, it will be matched and be of double value to provide for these children there. Please do it now before it slips from mind. Thanks a lot.
