They were speaking at the seminar held under the auspices of Mir Khalilur Rahman Memorial Society, Jang Group of Newspapers, entitled 'Ramazanul Mubarak and Diabetes' arranged to aware the people on the matter here on Sunday. Dr Saeed A Mahar said every patient's case is typical. His condition is different from other, therefore, it is important that patients should get a medical check-up before Ramazan and also keep checking sugar level during the fasting. This check-up does not harm or disturb the fasting at all. The symptoms of increased level of sugar are general weakness, feeling and passing of urine again and again and blurred vision. On the other hand the indications of low-level of sugar are increase in appetite excessive sweating, shaking of hands and felling of unconsciousness.
