Baat Cheet on May 20, 2015: The idiosyncrasies of Indian street art.

BAAT CHEET
Interactive Wednesdays at Anhad
6.00 -7.30pm

Every Wednesday at Anhad office we have vibrant discussion and hot tea (we can continue to serve tea if you also contribute towards it)

May 20, 2015

Topic: The idiosyncrasies of Indian street art.

Though it's not seen as "art" as such, and is mostly  just  signage about some product or service, street art in India
qualifies as a genre by itself. Unfortunately, as digital art takes over, it is also becoming a dying art. This talk  draws attention to the colourful, quirky and sometimes hilarious art that pops up organically on our streets.

Speaker: Sandeep Johari:
Sandeep Johari learnt painting from his uncle, the renowned painter Shri Harish  Johari. Sandeep's forte is illustration and he has published several series on Indian mythology.

A passionate disciple of all things art, Sandeep has also worked as Art Director
in advertising for 24 years at New Delhi, India.
