One headline from Hyderabad and the other from London shall have to be scanned together this week to get an insight into what social turmoil we all are witnessing, world over.
First, "ARE WE (MUSLIMS) ONLY TO BE HANGED?"/July20, from a leading Urdu Newspaper, the Siasat Daily, commenting upon the in-coming Execution of Yakub Menon, held guilty by the Supreme Court of India for the 1993 Serial Bombs Explosions in Mumbai, responsible for over 257 deaths and over 1200 injured.
The writer, Dr. Javed Jamil, a 'thinker and writer of over a dozen books',so critically starts his thesis, "It can now be said with certainty that Muslims, both criminals and falsely accused, are more likely to be arrested, more likely to charged, more likely to be proved guilty, more likely to be sentenced to death and more likely to be executed. This points not only to the discrimination prevailing in the legal machinery, Police being the major culprit, but also to the inability of Muslims, due to their lower socioeconomic conditions to fight the costly legal battles. Of course, when politics gets involved, their chances of avoiding punishment become considerably low. The government finds it harder to accept the mercy appeals of Muslim convicts because the media had already done its job in building mass opinion in favour of their hanging..."
SHOCKING !...Is it not a tragic irony that the fellow Indian Muslims are being fed by this kind of hateful and negative imputations on the Supreme Court verdict, projecting it so ghastly? And this, despite the fact that It took over 22 years of detailed investigations, considerations and re-considerations at various Judicial layers, widely discussed at least twice, in the Apex court, and twice reviewed by the President ?.
ON THE CONTRARY, a lot many people feel that our judicial system has let us down badly: Why should it take 22 long years for a verdict to come on such a dastardly act? If this verdict had come earlier, perhaps it would have deterred the gangsters and their granaries to think twice before hurting us again and again, including the hugely devastating 26/11. And, with such delays, are we also not doing injustice to those who lost their limbs and lives in the explosions, and their crying families left behind?
A lot many people are also questioning legitimately: Is it not a stark failure of our establishment, particularly, when several others are still roaming free in Dubai and Pakistan?
In fact, it could also mean a failure of our "secular", say, "sick-ular" bearings, and constitutional norms. Just because the traitor happens to be from a Minority Community, we have to review and rewind for decades before coming to a decision, the "Vote-Bank" politics being at the root of it. Look and behold a host of politicians, including Mr.Sharad Yadv, Chief-JDU, are already chanting his name to win the Bihar Elections!!
Nevertheless, we have to be content with what the Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam says, "This is a historic judgment and it will have a long reaching consequence because Yakub Memom was a conspirator," said Nikam after the SC dismissed Memon's curative petition. The Supreme Court, in its verdict, has distinguished the role between the conspirators and the planters and that they deserve bigger punishment."
Now, the Second Headline, revealing how the terrorism is being tackled socially outside India. "Tunisia attack: "David Cameron calls for fightback against intolerance as 30 Britons confirmed dead", deeply hurt and anguished on the massacre of British citizens holidaying at the beach, the PM writes in the Daily Telegraph, "we must be stronger at standing up for our values – of peace, democracy, tolerance, freedom," adding further " We must be more intolerant of intolerance – rejecting anyone whose views condone the Islamist extremist narrative and create the conditions for it to flourish..."
And, imagine what the Mayor, Boris Johnson, openly advocates here in London, "people must not "censor" the use of the words "Muslim" or "Islamic" when describing the terrorists responsible for extremist attacks. That just lets too many people off the hook," he says.
Full of grief, a top British Minister, Mr. Sajid Javid, goes further to say,"Ask your Imam why he is not condemning beach killer?.... British Muslim parents must challenge the mosques who refuse to condemn ISIS attacks''.
They are simply refusing to be 'politically correct' to strengthen the fight against terrorism.
Not for any special love for the British who, sadly, were instrumental in dividing our country on Hindu-Muslim basis, yet, when we see such happenings around, it is time for us in India also to let the "political correctness'' be kept aside and call a spade a spade.
We have to think seriously as to:
---Why is this Momin being projected as hapless poor Muslim by their intellectuals and the elite?;
---Was he not hand in glove with the enemies of the country, enjoying rides between Mumbai-Dubai-Karachi-Dubai etc.?
---Why the Supreme Court's verdict is not being accepted honorably?
---What gives so much of strength to the people like the writer of the Siasat who are out and out to provoke? and, last but not the least,
---Why the peace-loving majority of Muslims are not questioning their leaders, writers and thinkers, endorsing such traitors?
TIME, WE RESOLVE - We all fellow Indians put our heads together and condemn whosoever tries to undermine our values of 'peace, democracy, tolerance, and freedom'. Same, as expected worldwide by the other Civil Societies. Bombs? ....In may a democracies, even throwing stones could land a protestor in jail up to 20 years!.
And, SIASAT over the Suicidal Acts could be counter-productive, could be far more Suicidal!!

For too long assuming victim hood has become a strong point with many Moslem leaders. This played havoc in India prior to independence, leading to partition which was based on every thing bogus like discrimination against Moslems and biggest of them all, the two nation theory.
If at all any group in India has to complain, it was and is Hindu, who have been trampled under Moslem domination for few centuries followed then by British.
Moslem league became his majesty's most loyal opposition. Congress also did not lag behind that much once generation of leadership changed from Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal to Gandhi, Nehru and such ilk. Islamic movements like Khilafat had nothing to do with freedom of India, yet were espoused by Congress, heavy price was paid by Hindus in Sind and Malabar. Even after partition same discrimination against Hindus continued in India , this time officially with acts of so called secular governments which usurped all Hindu temples and their properties for their 'secular use' which included building mosques and Churches in Andhra and Karnataka. Some of Wakf properties are said to have larger budgets than Pakistan and are all tax free.
Such being the scenario, absolutely there is no merit in complaints continue to be aired by hot heads of vested interests, for instance, saying when a terrorist is nabbed, he is arrested because he was a Moslem or when a Moslem is convicted for bombing of Mumbai in 1993 and sentenced under due process of law which included exhausting all appeals , to be hanged, to say 'Moslems only are hanged'. Well if a Moslem bombed bustling business district of Bombay that resulted in hundreds of deaths on Friday during Namaz time, when only Kufrs will be on streets, who should the Government hang? A Hindu also.
Do not think this is a mere hyperbole. It was state policy for a long time starting with rule of 'India's only nationalist Moslem' J L Nehru to arrest equal number of Hindus for each Moslem arrested following riots. This secular balance was sought to be maintained even after March 1993 synchronized bombing at 13 places in Bombay . Mr. Sharad Pawar's government in Maharashtra arrested one Moslem gangster and one Hindu gangster blaming them for that attack. However magnitude and coordination required for such immense attack was not in the capability of mere criminals, so more and less it took one month during which time CBI was prevented coming in, to finally point the finger at Pakistan.
Meanwhile with all facilities for transport kept open immediately after bombing in March 1993, it allowed Dawood and his gang escape to safety of Karachi in Pakistan. Nearly 300 people have perished on the streets. Terror or terrorists may not have religion but there are not many among victims certainly did , they were Hindus. It was said in a nearby maternity hospital women aborted due to blast effect of the bombs in 13 places. Our astute news papers wrote page long laments then also about destruction of accounting business of Memon borthers. Not a word about the victims, hundreds of them lying on streets. This cue was picked up by US news papers which also blared about human right violations of Memons rather than on any victim of peace loving bombing. Now also we are seeing tear jerking stories of Yakub Memon who is tried, convicted with all appeals to Supreme Court and President of India gone through and is facing hanging, the secular eminences are writing pages on his wonderful message to Chief justice of India about his humble efforts to help government of India and also advocated that people of India have moral cleansing. How can such a reformer be sent to gallows? So already cacophony from all usual suspects, reactionary Moslem leaders who want to take India back a century , to visit all the issues of the past like Moslem vs rest in any and every thing including in cases of high treason and terrorism.
However much water has flown down in Ganga and much blood got spilled all over India to make people including Muslims to go back to annual and semi annual rituals of riots, human sacrifices on streets of India to satisfy fanatic whims and fancies of separatists on bogus items like two nation theory. Any body who subscribes to those who are now saying Memon is to be hanged because he was a Momin, not for treason with its accompanying carnage is doing disservice both to nation in general and Muslims Indian in particular. Because they are smearing Memon and his treason with same brush as his religion.
Any country's progress and development depend on the majority of the country. Any country's minority prosperity depends on well being of that nation's majority. So Indira Gandhi who was by no means a subscriber to views of RSS, told an all party Moslem group of Members of Parliament who met her on some complaint or for some privilege for just being a Moslem in India, "a minority cannot hope to make progress through constantly irritating the majority of the country". So constantly and irrationally bringing up religion even in cases of high treason, communal Moslem leaders are irritating the majority. This must not be. It is a pity that young Muslims are still exposed to same virulent anti-Hindu and anti-India propaganda in Madarsas. Is it any wonder then why there is so much home grown terrorism world over where there are sizeable Moslem
communities? India is plagued with this malady for a longer time and is continuing still. Regardless of howls against saffornization, India must firmly put forward the truth in history that both Hindu and Muslim share same ancestry and DNA, as such are one people, constitute one nation rather than a majority or minority.
Every challenge is an opportunity. India's first Hindu Nationalist led government after a long time since Prithviraj Chauhan has thus a great opportunity to forge national integration through education-a long term solution no doubt but will be enduring. Meanwhile short term, immediate solutions like having terrorist traitor face justice, are also in order.

Owaisi, as per his notoriety is making a hue and cry on the hanging of Yaqub Menon.
He says this is because Yaqub is Muslim.
What a silly way of playing the communal Card? Owaisi says 93% of hangings are of Muslims, but does not say the actual percentage of Muslim culprits in the prisons.
He says the assassins of Beant Singh and Rajiv Gandhi have not been hanged.
He is disputing the judgement of the Judiciary. This is deplorable.
Furthermore, each case has its unique nature and contents. In Mumbai 1993 blast the death toll is not the same as in the cases he quotes.
But again, he is bent upon moaning, complaining and blackmailing.

The apologists for Islamic terrorism like Mr. Sardesai always come up with excuses to condone terror attacks linking it to some or other events before. In case of Mumbai March 1993 attack the learned anchor who rose to defense of Memon to spare him from justice after due trial and conviction, says the attack was revenge against Babri dome destruction. What was then the reason for cleansing of Hindus from Kashmir valley? It happened well before Ayodhya movement. Perhaps he can extend his such insights and inform the world , the real reason behind attack on World Trade center in NY. Nothing to do with Islamic terrorism of course, remember terrorism has no religion but only Hindus have if they dare to correct an historical atrocity of a monument over their most sacred site of Sri Rama's birth place. They did not kill a single Moslem in Dec 6, 1992. Nor did they attack any functioning mosque. It refers to justified statement of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu that sympathizing with terrorists is disservice to the nation. But big question is what Central government is doing against such persons whose such act rather should be treated as anti-national.
Best is to snatch voting rights (and thus right to contest elections) of those directly or indirectly exhibiting sympathy with persons declared as terrorists by courts. There are precedents of similar action though for different reasons. Also restrictions can be imposed on media against profiling such sympathizers of terrorists.
There is a big difference between supporting terrorist against execution, and demanding abolition of capital punishment. Unnecessary controversy was created on a Deputy Registrar of Supreme Court sending his plain and simple request to send back to his parent organization desiring relieving from duty at Apex Court.

Once upon a time India was an armed society. Every household had weapons, swords, lances and such. It was not true only Kshatriyas fought, rest such watched. Every caste, every section of society fought wars. Mahabharat clearly notes that in that war all castes and clans participated in fighting on both sides. And women too were known for their fighting skills, even mighty Arjuna lost to woman warrior.
And in many wars of more recent medieval times women actively participated. They acted in support of men on front lines. They boiled the oil while the men poured it on enemy soldiers creeping, climbing the walls of the fort.
India worships Goddess of war, Durga. In fact India is personified as manifestation of Kali, another ferocious warrior . When a Vikramaditya drove enemy hordes out of Punjab and across India's natural frontiers at Khyber and Bolan, he initiated worship of dark colored Kali dancing on pale colored demon, the former being depiction of India and the latter being the invader. Until recently both at Khyber and Bolan there used to be stone sculptures of pictures of Durga or Kali.
India had rich traditions as far as participation of women in all activities of society are concerned. All rituals and rites a house holder performs perforce must have his wife be part of it. You know about Rani of Jhansi, before her there was Rudrama Devi of Kakatiyas in Andhra who also fought and prevented Islamic hordes from overwhelming the south India. These healthy traditions of society became distorted during alien domination. An example can be seen during relatively recent times. In Nizam's Hyderabad there were no women college graduates. Finally two Hindu women became graduates, but they had to go to college in Madras to get their degrees. Women education was frowned upon in Nizam E Mustafa. Where as long before such rule started in India, a woman named Bharathi argued with mighty scholar,savant and intellectual Adi Sankaracharya as an equal. Subsequently following liberation of Hyderabad ,colleges, women graduates became abundant.
The same story is repeated in other parts of India. Many Muslim women Indians too became equally educated and are seen participating along with their sisters in politics, running offices and government. Meanwhile great debate is going on in Saudi Arabia whether women should be allowed to drive.
