Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to an ethics symposium that draws together scholars, educators and students on September, 19, 2015 (schedule attached). Beginning with a talk by historian Dr. Mubarak Ali on the historical perspective of ethics in Muslim education, the symposium features diverse talks and events that explore the connections between ethics and education.

During the one-day event, psychiatrist, Dr. Ayesha Mian, discusses ethical issues faced in contemporary educational institutions while dramaturgist and scholar, Dr. Framji Minwalla, talks about ethics in drama. Students of The Learning Tree, Haque Academy and SZABIST provide fresh insights into ethical issues through three skits and a debate. The symposium ends with a conversation with two well-known scholars, historian, Dr. Arfa Syeda Zehra, and poet, Dr. Fatema Hassan.
