Gallup Pakistan invites applications to a certified workshop on 'Behavioural Economics in Practice for Social and Economic Research' on Tuesday 29th March 2016 at the Islamabad Club.
Dr Ijaz Shafi Gilani, will be starting off the day with a short session on 'Evidence-based Policy Making'. This segment will elaborate upon the practical study of how to select, analyse and use evidence, and analyse the role of evaluation as part of policy-making and operational delivery.
Behavioural Science is quickly becoming a key component for operations in all sectors, inclusive of development; banking; governance and health care sectors. In order to ensure that our professionals are able to understand the major concepts and workings of this subject area and its application in their respective fields, an in-depth, interactive session will be conducted by Dr. Umar Taj, our Behavioural Science expert.
In short, fun and information-packed sessions you will be introduced to interesting research findings from the field of behavioral economics. You'll also get examples on how to best apply these findings to your product or service. Dr. Umar Taj explains from this perspective why we do what we do, when we do it.
This course is designed for a broad range of actors, people who play strategic decision-making roles in their organisations; and who create and build products and services that change behaviour for the good, inclusive of:
· Practitioners working in the development sector;
· Mid-tier government officials in policy programs;
· Researchers, academics and economists; and
· Managers and project officers
