Assalam-o-Alikum ,
What is the biggest Asset that you have in your life? No, it is not your real estate/property, nor your business, not even your stock investment, not your home or car.
It is the most ignored opportunity of them all! Yes, it is You.
You think that is weird ???!!! Well, It is because we have been taught to see investment in a very linear way of stacking up of financial assets only. We are always advised to invest in all the list mentioned above.
But , has your trusted advisers ever asked you to invest in Yourself also?
I will prove to you that the biggest ROI you can ever get in your life is by actually investing in Yourself, in every way.
And yes financial growth is a bi-product of investing in yourself.
You must believe that the most secured, predictable, reliable and assured investment is in Yourself.
And the sad reality is that even though this costs fraction of your real estates, your cars and bungalows cost, it is the most ignored one.
Let us first define what is meant by investing in Yourself. YOU are made of up mind, body and soul. These three estates if running at the optimum level brings the best in YOU. What that means is:
- If your mind is operating at the optimum level you will plan better, make better decisions, create sustainable income, create lasting impact on the societies and communities you belong to and withstand against troubles and confusions, manage your relationships better, generate more ideas for financial stability and growing in your business or profession.
- If your body is functioning at the optimum level, it will support you every day, through trouble and ease, for serving your parents with excellence (Ihsaan), helping your family and friends when they need. If you want to strive to contribute in developing the community, establish your business, excel in your career and most importantly acting as a strong Muslim, your body must be taken care of.
- If you strengthen your soul to the optimum, you will feel the great inner peace, it'll make you happier, you'll not easily drag away in adversities, your relationship with Allah (swt) will give you an amazing strength in everything you do and drive you towards your visions step by step with the pleasure of Allah (swt).
Now let's see what is the average investment in each of them like and how much do they actually cost?

These handful of daily, monthly or yearly investments hardly amount to 1% or less of what you have been investing in true financial assets like property, automobiles and saving accounts. Have you then not ignored yourself?
So here is what I want you to do now, make a list of only three items in each buckets of Mind, Body & Soul of the investments you will be taking before the end of this year such that they become your regular routines in'sha'Allah. You're more than welcome to share with me if you want to.
Stay Blessed,
Yameenuddin Ahmed
